Plant TrialsIn the Spring of 2010, Nottingham Trent University School of Animal Rural and Environmental Sciences undertook independent and rigorous growing trials of Petunia, Impatiens, American Marigold and Begonia to assess the growing performance of Freeland’s peat replacement product (made from oversize and retails as SuperFyba) as a peat diluent/ growing medium across a range of indicator plants.

The research findings showed that both qualitatively & quantitatively SuperFyba not only performed well as a peat diluent but that SuperFyba worked well as a growing media by itself.

Plant GrowthSpecifically, SuperFyba was shown to have excellent physio-chemical properties, encouraging root development through its open structure and has enhanced water retention properties.
