Many of the leading landscape contractors in the UK regularly purchase compost adhering to the Freeland specification for compost from one the 15 Freeland sites throughout the country. These include: Rainham, Essex; Pitsea, Essex; Lount, Leicester; Kibworth, Leicester; Packington, Birmingham; Clifton Marsh, Preston; Rufforth, York; Porchester, Hants; Basingstoke, Hants; Chibolton, Stockbridge.
Freeland not only supply the compost but also get heavily involved in the design of the product advising on the soil science element of the project. Freeland possesses in house soil scientists which, over a number of years, have been involved on some of the country’s most prestigious landscape projects and have been an integral part of the landscape team as well as being the contractor undertaking the project itself.

Freeland Horticulture provide a specification and application guide for compost use within landscape. This specification should be selected by Landscape Architects within the landscape specification as this is considered as the blue print for green composts.
